The Shrinking Violet: BookHouse Creations   Leave a comment

Sweet Bluebirds Necklace

This lovely handmade piece comes from Amy Smith-Van Patten of Ohio.  I’ve known her for over a decade and she never ceases to amaze me.  Amy is always coming up with zany new ideas for accessorizing … & don’t get her started on her Hello Kitty obsession!  My favorites are her shrink paper pieces, but she works with agate, crystals and in other forms too.  Her handmade accessories are always priced guilt-free and she is the queen of presentation when it comes to packaging!

Visit her at BookHouse Creations and pick up a little diddy for yourself:)

Dishing Out Design: Re-imagining Chipped China   Leave a comment

Grandmother’s china never looked so grand!

Take a gander at the amazing creations by Laura Beth Love of Pennsylvania at .

This designer knows the art of turning lemons into lemonade…or in this case, broken china into beautiful charms.

Visit her shop, Dishfunctional Designs, you’ll never look at that chipped tea cup the same way!
